Start smaller than you think
Most family systems begin by asking you to recreate your family inside them. Add every child. Import every calendar. Choose a color for soccer. Remember the dentist appointment you were trying not to forget in the first place.
Smitty should feel different. Tell Smitty enough about your household to avoid obvious mistakes, choose how you want to hear from it, and then send one piece of real family life.
The goal of your first 10 minutes is not a finished setup. It is one useful handoff.
Tell Smitty who it is helping
Add the people in your household and a little context that will help Smitty sort things correctly: a child’s school, grade, or activity, for example. Start with what is current and obvious. You can add or correct details later.
Send one real thing
Use the private forwarding address shown in Smitty, or add something directly in the app. Choose something real. A polished sample can show you the interface, but your own messy email shows you whether Smitty understands your life.

Review the result
Smitty may create an event, task, reminder, or shopping item. If an important detail is unclear, it asks one question before finishing. Answer it, check the result, and correct anything in plain language.

Once Smitty has something real to track, you should not have to remember to reopen the app just to get value from it. That is the loop: send it, review it when needed, then let it find you at the useful moment.
