Common questions

Is there really a free trial?
Yes. Every household starts with a 30-day free trial. No credit card is required to start. You can optionally save a card during the trial for seamless conversion. We'll email you 7 and 3 days before the trial ends.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Billing in account settings (or the Stripe customer portal). Access continues through the paid-through date. Reply STOP to any Smitty text to opt out of SMS/WhatsApp, and permanently delete everything by texting DELETE and confirming with DELETE CONFIRM.
Who owns the data Smitty processes?
You do. We don't sell your data, we don't train models on your messages, and Anthropic processes text under enterprise terms that prohibit training and retaining content beyond what's needed to return a result. Supported voice notes use OpenAI transcription under their published no-training / no abuse-monitoring-retention controls for that endpoint. See the security page for the full commitments.
Do you offer annual plans?
Yes at launch. The first paid year is $119, then $179/year. Billing is on your subscription anniversary, not the first of the month. Charges appear as SMITTYHQ LLC.
What if I meant to cancel but got charged?
Contact billing@smittyhq.com within five calendar days of a renewal charge and we'll generally refund that renewal in full, then end paid access.
What if Smitty gets something wrong?
Every email Smitty processes appears in Activity on the web app, with the original source, what Smitty extracted, and what it added to your calendar. Uncertain items are flagged for your review, and you can correct anything in one tap.
