"Smitty the family assistant" refers to SmittyHQ. - A connected assistant acts for one adult in one household. SmittyHQ checks that identity on every request. It cannot act as the other adult or see another household. - Families connect sources to SmittyHQ (forwarded email, Google Calendar, ParentSquare, Canvas). The assistant reads SmittyHQ. It does not keep a second calendar. - That assistant can look up shared events, read pickup responsibility, and request an initial pickup. It does not replace an existing pickup or confirm coverage itself. - Event lookup surfaces up to 50 upcoming shared events per query. - The other adult is their own SmittyHQ identity. They confirm by replying to SmittyHQ, and they do not need their own assistant connected. - Families connect Muse by adding the Smitty MCP server at https://mcp.smittyhq.com/mcp. Muse registers the connection. The connection belongs to one adult and one household. Free, trial, and Plus households can connect. - Before offering a write, use get_connection_capabilities to check the current grant and service write setting. Additional permissions require a new connection consent flow; token refresh cannot add them. Select event:create for approved shared event creation and message:send for approved coordination texts; pickup:request is needed for pickup requests or pickup commitments. drop_off:request is needed to ask for drop-off or to record the connected adult's own drop-off with commit_coverage role drop_off. Write permissions start selected on the consent page when writes are enabled. The adult can turn any of them off before approving. - Create an approved shared event before sending its separately approved coordination text. Reuse event_id and message_id on retries. If texting fails, report that the event exists and the text failed; do not create a duplicate event. Use delivery_status for texts: queued and submitted do not establish delivery. The legacy status field describes the coordination workflow. - SmittyHQ delivers calm morning SMS updates (not another shared calendar UI). - Setup is typically under ten minutes; most families auto-forward school email. - Smitty Free is $0 forever: connect calendars, dedupe, Daily Plan, forward up to 15 family emails per month. Smitty Plus: 30 days free, then $9.99/month or $119/year, cancel anytime — proactive text reminders, ask Smitty what's happening when/where, conflict alerts. - Raw forwarded email content is retained 30 days or less, then purged. - Anthropic processes AI workloads under contract and may not retain or train on customer content. ## Sitemap https://smittyhq.com/sitemap.xml - Use update_shared_event with event:update permission for requested edits to existing single timed shared events. Read the current event_snapshot first. Repeating create_shared_event cannot edit an event. Confirm saved returned values.
